1. Activate yeast in warm milk (5 minutes).
2. Whisk sugar, butter, salt, and eggs in a separate bowl.
3. Combine wet and yeast mixture, add and 
mix flour to form a soft dough.
4. Knead dough until smooth, then let it rise for an hour.
5. Roll and cut donuts, let them rise for 30 minutes.
6. Fry in 350°F (175°C) oil until golden (1-2 minutes eachside).
7. Drain and optionally glaze

For the dough:
2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
2/3 cup warm milk (around 110°F or 43°C)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 large eggs

For the glaze (optional):

1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
